The Alaska Department of EnvironmentalConservation, U.S. Coast Guard, and Environmental Protection Agency are updatingAnnex D of the Unified Plan to more clearly define the process for makingchanges to the Unified Plan and to define the role of a newly formed “SteeringCommittee,” which is composed of representatives from the three Unified Plansignatory agencies (USCG, EPA, and ADEC). These changes are intended to simplify and streamline updates andoutline a better mechanism for resolving differences of opinion when theyoccur. We request interested parties to reviewthe updated draft and provide feedback prior to June 15, 2015. Commentsreceived after this date will be considered during the next Unified Plan updatecycle.
