Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Office, Land Section has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: D&L Construction
PROJECT NAME: LAS 30192
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: North side of Tofty Rd, within a half mile east of the Blowback Creek Bridge.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Southwest ½ of the Northwest ¼ of Section 13, Township 3 North, Range 16 West, Fairbanks Meridian: 65.088063, -150.723458.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The application proposes to utilize an old gravel pit as a storage and staging area for activities related to the replacement of the Blow Back Creek Bridge. The land would be used for the laydown and staging of construction materials, such as bridge girders and steel bridge structure members. Vehicles and equipment would also be stored at the site, including loaders, excavators, commercial end-dump trucks, and commercial full-size and mid-size trucks.
In addition, the applicant proposes to place 500 cubic yards of grubbing waste from clearing activities at the Blowback Creek Bridge Replacement site in the open pit adjacent to the staging area.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: May 1, 2015
End: December 31, 2015
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 8, 2015
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, Alaska 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
