NOTICE OF UTILITY APPLICATION

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on April 10, 2015, Delta Environmental Services, LLC (DES) filed an application for a new Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (Certificate). DES proposes to offer residential and commercial refuse collection services in and around the community of Delta Junction. Docket No. U-15-069 was opened to address this matter.

In connection with the application, DES has filed a petition for confidential treatment of financial information submitted in the application. DES has also submitted a request for temporary operating authority to provide refuse collection services to more than nine customers pending the Commission’s final order. No petition for waiver was filed with the application. This notice does not address in detail all of the points contained in the filing. The Commission may approve or impose conditions that vary from those proposed.

The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission may determine whether the petition for confidentiality will be granted and if the application is complete after the close of the comment period.

Any individuals proposing to file an application to furnish the same, or substantially the same, service or facility to essentially the same service area or route, in whole or in part, thus creating the potential for mutually exclusive applications must file a notice of intent to file a competing application by May 18, 2015.
