Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Golden Valley Electric Association, Inc. (GVEA) filed tariff revision TA262-13 seeking to add new cost elements to its Cost of Power Adjustment (COPA). Specifically, GVEA is requesting to include new cost elements associated with its Healy Unit #2 (Healy #2) coal-fired generation.
GVEA states it will be incurring Healy #2 fuel, sorbent, and ash handling costs related to the power being produced. GVEA proposes adding new cost elements for fuel-related costs, similar to those for Healy Unit #1, to allow the costs to pass through the COPA mechanism.
