Term Agreement – Bridge Inspection
RFP Number 02553024
The Department intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional consultant services for safety inspections of bridges in the State of Alaska. The work will include, but will not be limited to, providing underwater, fracture critical, routine, and/or other structure safety inspections as per the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and preparing inspection reports to document these inspections.
A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package. Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is May 1, 2015/April 30, 2018. Cost of these professional services is expected to be greater than $1,000,000.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available March 9, 2015 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK 99801-7999. Persons residing outside the City & Borough of Juneau may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 465-4488. Walk-in and telephone service is available during the hours of 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms. Submittals must be received no later than April 1, 2015, 4:00 PM prevailing time. Please be advised that none of the courier services (Fed-EX, UPS, etc.) provide overnight service to or from Juneau. Please allow at least 2 to 3 business days for receipt of expedited packages.
Individuals with disabilities, including the hearing impaired, who may need auxiliary aids, services, and/or special modifications to submit a proposal should contact the TTD number: (800) 770-8973, no later than one week prior to the submittal date to make any necessary arrangements.

If you download a Request for Proposal (over $100,000) from this page, you must register with the respective regional plans room to be placed on the planholders list for that project and to receive subsequent addenda. Every effort will be made by the Department to insure that Contractors receive all addenda when issued. Addenda may be issued by any reasonable method such as mail, telefacsimile, express delivery service, and electronic posting to this website. It is the Offeror’s responsibility to insure that he has received all addenda affecting the RFP. No protest will be allowed based on the offeror’s allegation that he did not receive all the addenda for a RFP.
