Notice of Utility Application
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on February 17, 2015, Rampart Village Electric (Rampart Electric) filed an application for a new Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. Rampart Electric proposes to provide retail electric utility service in the village of Rampart. Rampart is 100 miles northwest of Fairbanks with a population of approximately 24 persons. Docket No. U-15-006 was opened to address this matter.
In connection with the application, Rampart Electric filed a petition for expedited consideration of the application and exemption from economic regulation. Rampart Electric also filed a motion to waive electronic filing requirements. No petitions for confidentiality were filed with this application. The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission may determine whether the application is complete by March 10, 2015.
