The Alaska Department of Natural Resources (ADNR), Division of Oil and Gas (Division), received a Unit Plan of Operations application dated October 15, 2014 from Hilcorp Alaska, LLC (Hilcorp) to construct a new gravel pad, Blossom Pad, and an access road within the Ninilchik Unit (NKU) the east side of the Cook Inlet. This project is scheduled to begin December, 2014. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment under 38.05.035(e)(1)(C)(ii).

Project Description:
Hilcorp plans to construct a new 2.8-acre (approximate) gravel pad and new 1-acre (approximate) section of road to reroute the existing access road away from private residences. The pad will be on privately owned land; access will be negotiated between the private land owner and Hilcorp. Hilcorp will use the pad to drill and produce up to two gas exploration wells. Additional program details are outlined in the Plan of Operations.
