Anchorage Fish & Game Advisory Committee

The Anchorage Fish & Game Advisory Committee will meet on November 13th at the
William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery building located at 941 N Reeve
Blvd. at 6:30 pm in order to begin preparing comments on Board of Fisheries and
Board of Game proposals, consideration of proposals to submit to the Joint
Board, look at their upcoming meeting schedule, and hear a report regarding the
ongoing moose study on the Kenai Peninsula. For more information or to
schedule your organization’s presentation at a future meeting, please contact

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and hunting
issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska
Board of Game. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on
fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory
proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the
appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife
conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, 4) advising the
appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting with individuals,
organizations, and agencies.
