MagTec Alaska LLC

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: MagTec Alaska LLC
PROJECT NAME: LAS 33517

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: All state land on the North Slope between the Canning and Colville Rivers. The permit is general in nature and will cover off-road travel on state land as well as ice roads and snow trails. Specific projects will be reviewed and approved under the proposed permit on a case-by-case basis.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: All State Land within Umiat Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: MagTec Alaska LLC has applied to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW) for a Land Use Permit (LUP) to authorize off-road travel on state land between the Canning and Colville Rivers. The purpose of travel will be in support of oil and gas services and hauling residential supplies using approved vehicles. This is a general permit and individual off-road travel activities will be reviewed and authorized on a case-by-case basis under this permit in support of various projects.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: February 5, 2021
End: February 4, 2026

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: Thursday, February 4, 2021 by 5PM

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Northern Regional Land Office, 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
