REALIGNMENT OF A PORTION OF ADL 33023

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO) has received a petition for the following:
APPLICANT: Lorena Knapp
PROJECT NUMBER: ADL 33023
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Talkeetna, Alaska
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Within the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 20, Township 26 North, Range 4 West, Seward meridian, Alaska.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The petitioner has requested permission to relocate an un-platted portion of a DMLW managed public access easement serialized by SCRO as ADL 33023 that crosses privately owned land. The petition requests the relocation of the easement to a pre-existing route on the eastern boundary of their property (figure 1); the point of ingress and egress from the property remain the same. SCRO’s evaluation of the petition is limited to the evaluation of whether the potential future use of the easement at its proposed future route is reasonably comparable to the current un-platted location. Comment review will be limited to responses that pertain to the proposed action, namely the reasonable comparability of the two routes within the parcel described herein. All other considerations are outside the scope of the notice and review.
Comments are due on July 27th, 2020.
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 West 7th Avenue, Suite 900C, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
