NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

HSIP: Central Region Guardrail Inventory and Upgrade Design Services
RFP Number:  25202043 

The Department intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional design services. The Contractor shall prepare an inventory by evaluating existing guardrail segments, end terminals, and associated hardware along several high speed routes in Central Region, Alaska for damage and adherence to current AKDOT&PF and FHWA standards. The results of the inventory shall be used to design and construct installation or updates to guardrail segments found to be in non-conformance with State and Federal standards. Services are anticipated to include: environmental activities, surveying, field investigation and data collection, design study report, public involvement, erosion and sediment control plan, plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E), assistance during bidding, assistance with design project close out, and assistance during construction.  

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately February 2020 through December 2023.  Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $1,000,000 or greater. 

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available November 25, 2019 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska before 4:00 PM . Persons residing outside the vicinity may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 269-0408. 

Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received no later than December 18, 2019 at 4:00 p.m., prevailing time.
