Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Joshua J. Bateman
PROJECT NAME: LAS 32672
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located on the northwest side of Kupreanof Peninsula on Kodiak Island, approximately six miles northwest of the peak of Kupreanof Mountain.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 30, Township 25 South, Range 24 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Joshua Bateman is requesting the issuance of a land use permit authorizing the use and maintenance of a 16 foot by 24 foot cabin, a 12 foot by 16 foot storage cabin, 8 foot by 8 foot banya, 8 foot by 8 foot plastic shed, outhouse, and 300 foot offshore anchored mooring line to be used on a seasonal basis to support commercial set net fishing activities associated with the shore fish lease serialized as ADL 223255. Over the duration of the permit, it is proposed that the banya will be replaced with a 12 foot by 20 foot gear shed, a 10 foot by 16 foot green house will be constructed, and the cabin will be expanded to 20 feet by 28 feet.

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
