Public Notice
The Shore Fishery Leasing Program within the Department of Natural Resources is evaluating shore fishery lease applications and amendments submitted during the 2018 application period. The public is welcome to review and comment on the proposed actions. To review the new application materials and view the associated maps, please visit the Shore Fishery Leasing Program website at: http://dnr.alaska.gov/mlw/shore/index.cfm and click on the 2018 Applications link under the Shore Fishery Index. Please follow the directions outlined at the end of this notice to submit any comments or protests. The Public Notice period begins December 14, 2018, and the deadline to submit written comments or protests is on or before January 28, 2019.
This public notice includes the following lease applications within the described fishing districts:
Alaska Peninsula
Northern District
Connor T. Murphy, ADL 233313
The proposed lease is for two nets at 600 feet each in length, located on the Alaska Peninsula, in Port Moller, AK, within protracted Sections 30 and 31, Township 48 South, Range 72 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska and protracted Sections 2 and 3, Township 49 South, Range 73 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

The proposed lease is for three nets at 210 feet each in length, located on the east side of Cook Inlet approximately 7 miles north of the mouth of the Kenai River, within protracted Sections 27, 28, 33, and 34, Township 7 North, Range 12 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

Northwest Kodiak District

The proposed lease amendment is for two nets, one at 360 feet and one at 540 feet, located on northwest Kodiak Island, on the west side of Kupreanof Strait, within protracted Sections 29, 30, and 32, Township 25 South, Range 24 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska.
Comments or protests regarding a lease or amendment application must be submitted in writing and directed to the Regional Manager of the Southcentral Region Land Office of the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 550 W 7th Ave, Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577. A protest must clearly state the nature and purpose of the protest in accordance with 11 AAC 64.450 and be submitted to both the applicant and the Department of Natural Resources by certified or registered mail no later than January 28, 2018.
