The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue Solid Waste Disposal Permit No. SW3A165-24, to the City of Angoon, to operate a Class III Municipal Solid Waste Landfill.

APPLICANT INFORMATION:
Location: City of Angoon, Township 50 South, Range 68 East, Section 31, Copper River Meridian

Landowner: Kootznoowoo Inc.

Landfill Operator: City of Angoon

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The landfill serves 459 residents of Angoon. The two acre site includes a solid waste disposal cell, storage areas for junk vehicles and scrap metal and a shipping container for household hazardous waste collection.

OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:
ADEC is seeking comment regarding the proposed project only.  Notice is given that any person interested may present written comments relevant to the proposed Permit to ADEC.  Written comments will be included in the record if received before 5:00 p.m. on January 4th, 2019.    Submit written comments regarding the project to Hannah Sullivan, ADEC Division of Environmental Health, Solid Waste Program, P.O.
