The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has determined that the permit application, submitted by the Twin Hills Village Council for operation of a new Class III Community Solid Waste Landfill in Twin Hills, Alaska, is complete. ADEC is proposing to issue Solid Waste Permit SW3A190-23 for the Twin Hills Beach Road Landfill.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Location: The Twin Hills Beach Road Landfill is located south of the Community, within Section 16, Township 13 South, Range 66 West, Seward Meridian.

The applicant proposes operating an area fill landfill that will serve the 86 residents of Twin Hills. The one-acre site includes a burn unit for waste volume reduction, solid waste disposal cells, a salvage area, and a household hazardous waste collection building.
