Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Olson Marine, Inc.

PROJECT NAME: ADL 108046

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Tongass Narrows, Ketchikan

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Within NW¼NE¼ Sec. 9, T. 75 S., R. 90 E., CRM, approximately 0.08 acres of tide and submerged land seaward and adjacent to ATS 1641, Tract A. 

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Olson Marine, Inc. has submitted an application to the Division of Mining Land and Water (DMLW) for a land lease of the above-described parcel to authorize mooring of barges. DMLW believes that since there are no structures planned and only the largest of the applicant’s barges will extend onto the parcel, that a land use permit is a more appropriate authorization. 

PROPOSED DATES OF USE: Start: October 1, 2018         End: September 30, 2023 

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: August 30, 2018

The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 400 Willoughby Avenue/PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
