EXXONMOBIL ALASKA PRODUCTION INC.

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: EXXONMOBIL ALASKA PRODUCTION INC.

PROJECT NAME: LAS 26895

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: State land on the North Slope, Colville to Canning Rivers, including shorelands, tidelands, and submerged lands

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: ExxonMobil has requested a re-issuance of its storage permit for continued use of state land for various storage activities.  This permit is proposed to be general in nature and each storage activity is authorized individually under the permit.  Storage activities may be related to staging activities at West Dock, the Badami Storage Pad and Central Facilities Pad, and West Staines State #2.  Storage activities may include various equipment, material and supplies for operations, maintenance, construction, and remediation activities.  Activities may also include temporary storage of fuel (in 10,000 gallon trucks/trailers), methanol (up to 8,000 gallons),  chemicals (stored in 330 gallon totes or 55 gallon drums), and liquid nitrogen and propane. Storage activities would align with the ADEC-approved Point Thomson Until Oil Discharge & Prevention Contingency Plan.  Duck ponds will be utilized under parked vehicles.

Start: September 1, 2018
End: August 31, 2023

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity.  To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Northern Regional Land Office, 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
