Rex Trail Update
2018 Extension of 2009 Amended Decision

The 2009 amended decision to issue permits for certain rubber tracked vehicles, Nodwell-sized or smaller, on the eastern Rex Trail has been extended through April 15, 2020. DNR has extended the decision with updated fees while the Seven Mile Lake Reroute project, providing for improved access around a notoriously degraded section of trail, is completed and evaluated.  The decision, required permit application, and monitoring report are available on the DNR website at http://dnr.alaska.gov/mlw/rextrail/, as well as recent updates on Rex Trail management activities.  Permits will be available August 29 through April 15 of both 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
