In accordance with federal requirements, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has prepared the Alaska Clean Water and the Alaska Drinking Water Intended Use Plans for State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2019. The Intended Use Plans set out the Department’s strategy to loan funds available under the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act for the purpose of planning, designing and constructing sanitation and drinking water facilities.
The Draft SFY 2019 Intended Use Plans are available for review on the ADEC website at: http://www.dec.alaska.gov/water/muniloan/intended_use_plans.htm

Public review and comments on the draft plans are invited and will be considering in developing the final documents. Written comments will be accepted through June 22, 2018. Comments should be sent to Peggy Ulman at the mailing address given above, or by email at peggy.ulman@alaska.gov.
Upon adoption by the Department, the Intended Use Plans will become official policy of the Department and will serve to determine the award of loans for drinking water and water pollution control projects during Fiscal Year 2019.
