Review Notice for LAS 32289: Land use permit application recieved from Northern Powerline Constructors, Inc. for marker ball and fuel storage sites along the CVEA transmission line between Glennallen and Valdez.

NORTHERN POWERLINE CONSTRUCTORS, INC.

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: NORTHERN POWERLINE CONSTRUCTORS, INC.

PROJECT NAME: LAS 32289

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located along the Copper Valley Electric Association transmission line between Glennallen and Valdez.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Marker ball storage sites:

Section 34 of Township 9 South, Range 4 West, Section 6 of Township 1 North, Range 1 East, Section 14 of Township 2 North, Range 2 West, and Section 18 of Township 3 North, Range 1 West, Copper River Meridian.

Fuel storage and fueling sites:

Section 7 of Township 9 South, Range 3 West, Section 13 of Township 8 South, Range 3 West, and Section 19 of Township 2 North, Range 1 East, Copper River Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Installation, maintenance, and use of up to four marker ball storage sites and up to three fuel storage and helicopter refueling sites to facilitate marker ball replacement along the transmission line.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: June 1, 2018
End: June 30, 2018

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 8, 2018

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity.  To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
