PUBLIC NOTICE
Sunshine Creek Cooperative Management Agreement

Subject to AS 38.05.027, the Southcentral Region Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Matanuska Susitna Borough

PROJECT NAME: Sunshine Creek Cooperative Management Agreement

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located near MP 102 of the Parks Highway at Sunshine Creek.         

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
GLO Lot 1 within Section 14 of Township 024 North, Range 005 West, Seward Meridian.

Containing 26.44 acres, more or less,

As portrayed on the official U. S. Survey Plat of Township 24 North, Range 5 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska, examined and approved by the U. S. Surveyor General’s Office, Juneau, Alaska, April 24, 1918.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY:
The applicant is requesting a Cooperative Management Agreement for the establishment and management of a campground that would include 8-12 primitive campsite with pads and fire rings, toilet facilities, and bear proof trash cans. 

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: March 22, 2018
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 550 West 7th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may enter into a cooperative management agreement with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
