Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Prince William Sound Science Center

PROJECT NAME: LAS 32124

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Proposed locations for underwater passive acoustic receivers will be deployed within Prince William Sound in Canoe Passage, Port Fidalgo, and the northwest side of Montague Island between Rocky Bay to Port Chambers.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant is requesting use of state tide and submerged lands in Southcentral Alaska for underwater passive acoustic receivers to be deployed within Prince William Sound in Canoe Passage, north of Montague Island, and Port Fidalgo. The arrays will track and monitor pacific herring.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: March 1, 2018
End: February 28, 2023

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: March 7, 2018

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity.  To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity.  The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
