National Register of Historic Places training on Traditional Cultural Properties

 

 (Anchorage, AK) – The National Park Service, National Register of Historic Places staff is conducting a training for the Alaska Historical Commission via teleconference on Thursday, March 15, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.  The training may be monitored by the public, however, public testimony or questioning is not permitted.  To monitor the training by telephone, the number to call is 1-800-315-6338, followed by entering code 13101#. 

 

The training will concern the National Register of Historic Places Guidelines for Evaluating and Documenting Traditional Cultural Properties (also known as Bulletin 38).  A copy of the bulletin is available at  https://www.nps.gov/nr/publications/bulletins/nrb38/

 

The Alaska Historical Commission is the review board for the State’s historic preservation program.  More information about the commission is available at www.dnr.alaska.gov/parks/oha/histcomm/histcommission.htm.
