Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Region Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Eugene (Gene) Pavia DBA TerraSond Limited
PROJECT NAME: LAS 31972
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The possible location is in Southcentral Alaska, within Cook Inlet in Kamishak Bay. The proposed location is approximately 9 miles south of Bruin Bay. Latitude: 59.266° North, Longitude: 154.087° West.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 36, Township 010 South, Range 029 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant is requesting to temporarily install (1) acoustic doppler current profiler, (2) seasonal tide gauges, and (1) monitoring device. The proposed devices will be used to record scientific data.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: October 15, 2017
End: December 31, 2019
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: October 5, 2017
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 550 West 7th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
