Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Region Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Bud Hodson dba Tikchik Narrows Lodge, Inc.
PROJECT NAME: LAS 14221
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located in southwest Alaska, on the eastern shore of Nushagak River up a slough 500-feet, approximately 4.25 miles downstream of the confluence of the Nushagak and Salmon Rivers.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
NW ¼, Section 02, Township 001 North, Range 046 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant is requesting to relocate a seasonal (June 1 through September 30) camp approximately 3.3 miles downriver (south) on the Nushagak River of the originally permitted site, add a 6-man pup tent to the camp, and store an additional boat during the off-season. Originally permitted operations and camp consisting of one 16' x 10' weatherport and tent platform, four 18' Jon boats, one wooden table, and one pit privy to be used for guided sportfishing and off-season caching of the boats and six sheets of plywood will remain the same.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: June 1, 2016
End: August 31, 2021
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: September 29, 2017
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 550 West 7th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
