Public Notice

ADL 232961: Public Access easement, West Papoose Twins Lake

Applicant: Steven E. Manual

Pursuant to Alaska Statue 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Southcentral Regional Office is considering a request from Steven Manual to create a public access easement for a road to access private property. ADL 232961 will begin at the north boundary of ASLS 84-37 Tract F and extend to the section line common to Sections 24 and 25 and is to be located on State-owned, DMLW-managed uplands within:

·         Section 25 of Township 17 North, Range 5 West, Seward Meridian.

The dimensions of the proposed easement are approximately 337 feet in length, 35 feet wide and would occupy approximately 0.26 acres of State land. The result of which would be a 60 feet wide easement when combined with the 25 feet access easement along the eastern edge of ASLS 90-291. The attached depiction shows the proposed easement is indicated in Attachment A.

Members of the public and interested parties are invited to comment on this project. DMLW must receive written comments no later than 5:00 pm October 17, 2017.
