BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc., Prudhoe Bay Unit – H Pad Expansion
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division), has received a Unit Plan of Operations (LONS 69-026) Amendment Application from BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. (BPXA), dated August 7, 2017, to expand H Pad in the Prudhoe Bay Unit (PBU). The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment under AS 38.05.035.

Location: Section 21, Township 11 North, Range 13 East, Umiat Meridian.
Project Description: BPXA requests approval to place gravel fill to expand H Pad located in the PBU. Gravel will be placed over 0.5 acres of tundra at H Pad. Equipment will work from the existing pad and will consist of wheel loaders, dump trucks, and road graders. This project will provide the necessary access for drilling rigs to access existing wells on the drilling pad.
