Regulations dealing with financial responsibility requirements in 18 AAC 75 were adopted by the Department of Environmental Conservation on June 14, 2017, with an effective date of October 1, 2017. The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 223, October 2017, of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations changes are summarized as follows:

DEC is required to adjust the dollar amounts of financial responsibility in accordance with changes to the Anchorage Consumer Price Index (CPI). The Anchorage CPI was published in January 2017 and DEC amended the dollar amounts in the financial responsibility section of the regulations to correspond with the updated Anchorage CPI.
