Public Notice

ADL 232933: Public Access easement, Oil Well Road, Community of Trapper Creek.

Applicant: Zandra McGoldrick

Pursuant to Alaska Statue 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Southcentral Regional Office is considering a request from Zandra McGoldrick to create a public easement for a hardened access road, connecting ASLS 77-126 tract B to an existing access road (ADL 229151), allowing access from Oil Well Road. Authorization of this easement would allow for the construction of this access road.

The proposed easement is to be located on State-Owned, DMLW-managed uplands within:

·         Section 27 of Township 24 North, Range 7 West, Seward Meridian.

The proposed easement is approximately 251 feet in length, 60 feet wide and would occupy approximately 0.35 acres of State land. If approved, planned initial construction will consist of the clearing of timber and top soil; some section may be hardened using gravel.  The proposed easement is indicated in Attachment A.

Members of the public and interested parties are invited to comment on this project. DMLW must receive written comments no later than 5:00 pm August 7th, 2017. In order to be given full consideration, all comments should clearly explain the facts on which they are based and how they pertain to the proposed easement. Comments, questions, or requests for further information should be directed to the attention of Stuart Greenfield at the Southcentral Regional Office, 550 W. 7th Ave, Suite 900C, Anchorage, Alaska 99501-3577; email stuart.greenfield@alaska.gov; telephone (907) 269-5035, fax (907) 269-8913.
