ADL 232915: Kalifornsky Beach Road Erosion Control Project near Kasilof, Alaska

Applicant: Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOTPF)  

Pursuant to Alaska Statue 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Southcentral Regional Office is considering a request from DOT&PF for a public easement for a realignment/erosion control project near the census-designated place (CDP) of Kasilof, Alaska. The project which entails the removal of the existing culvert, installation of 2 new culverts, regrading of the existing ditch, armoring toe of slopes/bluff in the existing culvert outlet scour-hole, and revegetation of the project area at the time of completion is located within:

Section 12 of Township 4 North, Range 12 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska.

The requested public easement would be approximately 662 feet in length, 71 feet in width, and would occupy approximately 1.08 acres of State land. The requested easement is depicted in the attached map. If approved, this easement would be held by DOT&PF on behalf of the public.

Members of the public and interested parties are invited to comment on this project. DMLW must receive comments no later than 5:00 pm July 3, 2017. In order to be given full consideration, all comments should be in writing and should clearly explain the facts on which they are based and how they pertain to the requested easement.
