Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Region Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Cole Hawkins dba Hawk Mountain Air
PROJECT NAME: LAS 31684
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located in the Alaska Range, on the north side of the Skwentna River, approximately 1.5 miles upstream of where Portage Creek feeds into the Skwentna River, just off the southwest side of the airstrip.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: NE1/4 Section 32, Township 022 North, Range 018 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant is requesting the use of state land for the maintenance and use of a 14' x 16' cabin for overnight use in bad weather and to facilitate commercial big game transporter operations, the storage of 600 gallons of aviation fuel, a 7' x 10' platform with a metal roof to store the fuel, tie-down areas for two aircraft inside a bear-proof fence, and a pit privy.

The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
