Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Region Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities
PROJECT NAME: LAS 31650
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located at approximately milepost 13.5 of the Seward Highway, on the east side of the highway at Snow River.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 07, Township 002 North, Range 001 East, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant is requesting cross-country travel of heavy equipment (excavator, dozer, rolling compactor, and at least several trucks either end-dumps or side-dump tractor-trailers) across state land and the placement riprap on an embankment located at MP 13.5 of the Seward Highway on the Snow River to repair erosion and stabilize the embankment.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: April 1, 2017
End: October 31, 2017
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 5, 2017
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 550 West 7th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
