The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has made a preliminary decision to approve Hilcorp Alaska, LLC’s (Hilcorp) application for an Air Quality Control Minor Permit No. AQ0085MSS04 for Platform C.
Applicant: Hilcorp Alaska, LLC, PO Box 244027, Anchorage, AK 99524-4027
Location: Platform C, Latitude 60.8° North, Longitude 151.5° West
Activity: Hilcorp’s application is classified under 18 AAC 50.508(5) to establish operating hour and emission limits for restarting Emission Units 3 and 4.
Emissions: The project will emit less than 10 tons per year (tpy) NOx, 16 tpy CO, and 1 tpy VOC. Emissions of PM and SO2 are negligible.
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC drafted a preliminary permit decision for this project under AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50.

Opportunity for Public Participation:
Notice is also given that any interested person may present written statements relevant to the draft documents within 30 days after the first publication date. ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or State Law. ADEC will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period.
