Subject to AS 38.95.080, the Southcentral Region Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Calvin Flanigan

PROJECT NAME: LAS 31570 – Trapping Cabin Construction Permit Application - 2 Cabins

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The two proposed cabin locations are in Southcentral Alaska, approximately within 16.6 miles of each other, both north of Skwentna River.

• Located approximately seven miles southwest of Skwentna and approximately two miles north of Skwentna River.
• Located approximately 17 miles west of Skwentna, approximately two miles south of Red Creek, and approximately three miles north of Skwentna River.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 22, Township 021 North, Range 012 West, Seward Meridian & Section 17, Township 022 North, Range 014 West, Seward Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant is requesting a trapping cabin construction permit that would authorize the construction and maintenance and use of (2) 8’ x 10’ trapping cabins to be used by the permittee while trapping.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:

Start: May 22, 2017

End: May 22, 2027

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: April 7, 2017

The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 550 West 7th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
