The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has determined that the permit application, submitted by the Kenai Peninsula Borough (KPB), for operation of the Nanwalek Landfill in Nanwalek, Alaska, is complete. ADEC is proposing to issue Solid Waste Permit #SW3A187-22 to the KPB for the disposal of Solid Waste at the Nanwalek Landfill.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes operating an existing landfill to serve the 250 residents of Nanwalek, including a burn unit for waste volume reduction, a waste disposal cell for ash and non-burnables, interim appliance storage, and an inert waste salvage area. Additional Information:
