ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc.
Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office is considering the re-issuance of a Land Use Authorization (LAS 28444) to ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. The applicant has requested 5-year re-issuance of an authorization for the temporary scientific studies in support of oil field activities.
PROJECT NAME: LAS 28444, Temporary scientific studies in support of oil field activities
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The authorization is general in nature for state lands within the Umiat Meridian and between the Colville and Canning Rivers (the greater North Slope oil field). The applicant would be required to request and receive authorization from DNR prior to initiating new scientific studies on state lands.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Umiat Meridian, between the Colville and Canning Rivers.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The temporary placement of scientific equipment on state lands to support oil and gas activities. The Permittee would request and receive authorization prior to conducting upcoming scientific studies.
The DNR DMLW NRO proposes to re-authorize the temporary scientific studies for a renewable period of 5 years.

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: 5:00 pm, March 27, 2017.
The public is invited to comment on the proposed permit. Comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water by 5:00 PM, March 27, 2017.
