The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has completed permit application reviews for the communities of Akiachak, Toksook Bay and Tuluksak, and has determined the applications meet the requirements to issue Solid Waste Disposal Permits for Class III Municipal Solid Waste Landfills. ADEC Proposes to issue permits to the facilities described herein:

| Description: | The landfill will serve the 725 residents of Akiachak. The 2-acre site includes two burn units for waste volume reduction, solid waste disposal cells, and a salvage area. | The landfill will serve the 638 residents of Toksook Bay. The 3.75-acre site includes a burn unit for waste volume reduction, solid waste disposal cells, and a salvage area. | The landfill will serve the 376 residents of Tuluksak. The 2.5-acre site includes solid waste disposal cells and a salvage area. |
