Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on January 12,2015, ACS of Alaska, LLC, ACS of Anchorage, LLC, ACS of Fairbanks, LLC, and ACS of the Northland, LLC (collectively “ACS”) filed tariff advice filings TA196-251,TA541-120, TA137-117, and TA177-359 respectively, proposing to introduce a new tariffed service, Service Order Information for 911 Services. The service will provide subscriber name, telephone number and address information to local governments that is necessary to operate Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), a facility that receives 911 calls and uses this information to accurately route those calls to appropriate emergency service personnel.
Historically, ACS offered this service under a negotiated contract as part of its 911 systems services, but ACS now proposes to tariff these services on a stand-alone basis, including rates for providing initial and updated subscriber listings, and a validation/reconciliation charge. The proposed rates are $0.04 for each initial listing and $0.06 for each updated listing. The hourly rate for the validation/reconciliation charge is $110.66.
