The Alaska Department ofEnvironmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue Solid Waste Disposal Permit No. SW3A130-19, to the City of Chuathbaluk, to operate an existing Class III Municipal Solid Waste Landfill.

APPLICANT INFORMATION:

Landowner: City of Chuathbaluk

Landfill Operator: Native Village of Chuathbaluk 

Location:  The Chuathbaluk Landfillis located a quarter mile east of the community along Waste Disposal Road within Township 17 North, Range 55 West, Section 10, Seward Meridian.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The landfill will serve the 120 residents of Chuathbaluk.  It is estimated that the community will produce 140 tons of solid waste per year. The 1.2 acre site includes a baler for waste volume reduction, solid waste disposal cells, and a salvage area.
