The Preliminary Draft Permit and associated documents are available to the applicant for a 10-day review. Following the close of the 10-day applicant review period, DECwill prepare a draft permit and fact sheet for a formal 30-day public reviewperiod. Public comments will be accepted during the formal 30-day review period. The discharge ofsecondary treated domestic wastewater from the Juneau Douglas WastewaterTreatment Facility located at 58°17’ 2” North and 134° 23’13” West will occur an average monthlyrate of 2.76 million gallons per day to Gastineau Channel. A mixing zone isproposed for ammonia, copper, dissolved oxygen, fecal coliform bacteria, andwhole effluent toxicity.
