ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. Plan of Operations
North Slope Moraine Appraisal Well
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (DOG), has received a permit application from ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc. (CPAI), P.O 100360, Anchorage, Alaska 99501, to drill one appraisal well in the Kuparuk River Unit (KRU) on state of Alaska lands (LONS 14-008). DOG is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment under 38.05.035(e)(1)(C)(ii).
Location: Umiat Meridian, Township 12 N, Range 7 E, Section 12
Project Description: CPAI proposes to drill one onshore appraisal well, located in the KRU approximately 2.5 miles northwest of Drill Site 3S, between December 1, 2014 and April 30, 2015. The appraisal is planned for oil and gas lease ADL 025528. Depending on the final route the ice road may pass through ADL 380106, ADL 380107, ADL 025544, or ADL 025528. CPAI plans to complete all activities utilizing ice roads and pads under existing authorizations issued by the Division of Mining, Land and Water. At the completion of field activities, prior to the end of the winter drilling season, the well will be plugged and abandoned. The application meets all of the requirements of 11 AAC 83.346.

A copy of the final decision will be sent to any person who provides written comments. Only persons who comment in writing during the public comment period will be eligible to file an administrative appeal or to request reconsideration of the final decision (11 AAC 02).All comments must be received by the Comment Deadline: 4:30 pm, Alaska Time, 11/24/2014.
