The Alaska Department of EnvironmentalConservation (ADEC), Air Monitoring and Quality Assurance Program is making arequest from the Anchorage Air Quality Program (AAQP) to modify their AirMonitoring Network available for public review and comment. The modifications became necessary whenprivate property owners recently asked the AAQP to vacate their properties andremove the air quality monitoring stations. Ordinarily all requests for network modification are supposed to beprovided in the annual ADEC Network Plan which was published in July 1,2014. The modification request is available at

The modification request will be available for public comment for 30 days. The deadline for comments is 5pm Alaska time,November 24, 2014. All comments may bedirected to Barbara Trost at ADEC’s Air Quality Division office in Anchorage:
