North Slope Material Sale-ConocoPhillips Alaska

Courtesy Public Notice Material Sale Application ADL 420329  

The Division of Mining, Land and Water (DMLW), Northern Regional Office- Lands Section (NRO) has received an application for the extraction of material from a designated master material site, ADL 420239.  These are existing sites (Put 23, Kuparuk Mine Sites C and E, which have already been determined appropriate for continued material extraction, located on the North Slope.  ConocoPhillips Alaska submitted a material sale application for 1,000,000 cubic yards of gravel from the designated Master Material Sites on the North Slope.  They propose to extract from the existing mine site footprint.   The proposed mining operation and rehabilitation activities are consistent with the mining and reclamation plans approved for these mine sites.  The DMLW is notifying the public that the NRO is seeking information related to the ongoing extraction of material from this site, that may assist in the development of specific operating/reclamation requirements for the site, or identifying any multiple land use issues that may need to be addressed prior to issuance of a contract.  

DEADLINE FOR WRITTEN COMMENTS:   Written comments must be received in writing by the DMLW, Lands Section on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27,  2014 in order to ensure consideration.   To submit written comments or to seek additional information, please contact:
