NOTICE OF DECISION TO LEASE STATE LAND, ADL 107991
Pybus Bay, Admiralty Island, Alaska
In accordance with AS 38.05.075, the Division of Mining, Land & Water (DMLW) has made a preliminary written decision under AS 38.05.035(e) to issue a 10-year lease for approximately 0.22 acres of State tidelands located in Pybus Bay to Michael Shaw. The parcel will be used for a commercial dock to accommodate guests to Mr. Shaw’s upland hunting and fishing lodge.
The site is within Copper River Meridian, Township 53 south, Range 71 east, Section 4, and is adjacent to the Shaw Subdivision, Parcel 2B in Plat 20070081; Latitude 57° 18′ 21" north, Longitude –134° 8′ 10" west.
The public is invited and encouraged to comment on this decision. Copies of the decision are available from DMLW, 400 Willoughby Ave., P.O. Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020. Comments must be in writing and received by DMLW by electronic mail at sandy.sheridan@alaska.gov, by fax at (907) 586-2954, or by the address listed above on or before September 19, 2014 in order to ensure consideration. The preliminary decision sets out the schedule for the final finding as well as the appeal process. Pursuant to AS 38.05.035(i)–(j), to be eligible to appeal, a person must comment, in writing, during the comment period. If public comment in response to this notice indicates the need for significant changes in the decision, additional public notice will be given. Copies of additional public notice (if any) and all subsequent decisions on this proposed action will be sent to any person who submits written comments on the preliminary decision.
DNR/DMLW reserves the right to waive technical defects in this notice.
