Petitions for Confidentiality
The REGULATORY
COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on April 29 and June 30,
2014, Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) filed petitions for
confidential treatment of pricing terms for two separate fuel purchase
contracts in Dockets U-14-099 and U-14-081, respectively. GVEA is seeking
confidential treatment of specific terms of its fuel contracts with Petro Star,
Inc. (Petro Star) in Docket
U-14-081 and Usibelli Coal Mine (Usibelli) in Docket U-14-099.
The fuel supply
contract between GVEA and Petro Star was allowed to be placed into GVEA’s Cost
of Power Adjustment on an interim and refundable basis, effective
June 1, 2014. GVEA’s fuel supply contract with Usibelli was acknowledged by the
Commission on June 13, 2014, and can be used by GVEA as necessary.
The Commission will
be conducting a joint hearing in Dockets U-14-081 and U-14-099 on September 26,
2014. The hearing will be held at the Commission’s hearing room at 701 West 8th
Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501.
