NOTICE OF UTILITY APPLICATION TO TRANSFER CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives
notice that on August 6, 2014, GCI Cable, Inc. (GCICI) and Supervision, Inc. (Supervision)
jointly filed an application to transfer Certificate of Public Convenience and
Necessity (Certificate) No. 378; authorizing cable television service in Ruby,
Tanana, and Whittier, Alaska from Supervision to GCICI. Docket U-14-101 addresses
this matter.
The transfer of certificate is the result of an acquisition
of Supervision’s parent company by United Utilities, Inc. (UUI). Once the stock
purchase agreement is closed, the assets of Supervision will be transferred from
UUI to GCICI and Supervision will be dissolved. The transfer will have no
impact on the current rates, terms, and services.
The
Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission
may determine whether the application is complete by August 27, 2014.
