ALASKA NATIVE LANGUAGE PRESERVATION and ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING

The Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council
will hold a meeting by teleconference
on April 22, 2014 from 2pm to 4 pm

The teleconference will be held at the Robert B. Atwood Building, located at 550 W. 7th Avenue, Suite 1640.
The meeting is open to the public. The teleconference toll-free number to call-in is 1-800-315-6338, code 0434.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the findings and recommendations due to the Legislature and Governor in 2014.

Background:
In April 2012, the Alaska Legislature passed Senate Bill 130 authorizing the formation of the Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council. In May, Governor Sean Parnell signed the bill into law.

The purpose of the Alaska Native Language Preservation and Advisory Council is to provide recommendations and advice to both the Governor and Legislature on programs, policies, and projects; and to network and advocate in support of the Council’s mission.
