Utilities Main Wasteline Relining
Invitation for Bids Number 0722014, Project Number 2013175 UTWBR
Sealed bids, in single copy, for the Utilities Main Wasteline Relining
project will be received by the University of Alaska, Office of Division of
Design and Construction until Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., April 22, 2014, at the Office
of Division of Design and Construction, 590 University Avenue, 2nd Floor,
Fairbanks, Alaska, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Work consists of: sewer flow control, television inspection and
cured in place pipe relining along with interior manhole rehabilitation. Relining includes approximately 900 LF of
12-inch, 300 LF of 10-inch, 270 LF of 8-inch CIPP mainline and associated
service connections.
Bidders are advised that the University of Alaska has a procedure for
accepting alternate products or systems prior to bid opening. Acceptance of substitutions after award is
limited. See Instructions to Bidders and
the General Conditions.

local plan rooms and reprographers.

Printed copies may be ordered from reprographic companies through the
website or by contacting a reprographer directly. The downloaded files may also be printed on
the plan holder’s equipment. Plan
holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs.

A pre-bid conference will be held on April 8, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at
the Office of Division of Design and Construction, University of Alaska, 590
University Avenue, 2nd Floor, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Bid security is required to be submitted with each bid in accordance
with the Instructions to Bidders. State law requires a bid to be awarded to the
lowest responsive and responsible "Alaska Bidder" after a five
percent (5%) preference and Alaska Products Preference have been applied. Further instructions are contained within the
Invitation for Bids.

offers, or parts thereof it deems necessary, to waive any informality in the
bid or offer received, and to award in the best interest of the University.
