Lake Hood Seaplane Base FAA Identifier Combination

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) announces that effective October 17, 2013, there will be a single Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport identifier for all of Lake Hood:  LHD.  LHD will encompass both the lake and the gravel strip.

Previously, the gravel strip has been identified as a separate airport, Z41.  Beginning October 17, 2013 the Z41 identifier will no longer be used and the gravel strip will be identified as RWY 14/32 at LHD.

Questions may be directed to the Lake Hood Seaplane Base Manager, Tim Coons at 907-266-2741 or via email: tim.coons@alaska.gov.  Questions for the FAA should be directed to the Lake Hood Air Traffic Control Tower 907-271-2700.
