ITB 50623 Stratton Building Adaptive Reuse and Renovation Phase One

Sealed bids for ­­ Stratton Building Adaptive Reuse and Renovation Phase One, Project Number 50623, will be received until 2:00 p.m., July 24, 2013 in the main conference room at 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.

This State funded project will include demolition and replacement of the existing roofing, eave ends, exterior walls, exterior windows and doors. Hazardous Building Materials have been identified that require some Category 2 non-friable material abatement.  Work also includes installation of new structural piers below the cantilevered portion of the exterior walls.

The Engineer's Estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Project substantial completion date will be 120 days from Notice to Proceed. 

A site visit will be conducted on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.  Bidders shall meet at the project site at the existing Stratton Building in Sitka, Alaska, at the corner of Lincoln Street and College Drive.  Bidders should gather near the front entry on College Drive and then be lead to the work area.

The work area may be available for inspection at other times during the advertising period.  Bidders must contact the Project Manager, Travis Miller travis.miller@alaska.gov or at (907) 465-8139 to arrange a site visit date and time.

Plans, Specs, Bid Packets and Addenda along with other additional information pertaining to the project may now be downloaded in their entirety at no charge on the DOT/PF website: www.dot.alaska.gov.  Your company must register with the Central Region Plans Room by faxing your request to (907) 269-0425 or calling (907) 269-0408 or your bid may not be accepted.  Your fax must include your company name, contact name, mailing address, phone & fax number, and whether you are registering as a General, Subcontractor, or Supplier.  You may not change or alter the downloaded bidding forms in any way.  Electronic bids will not be accepted.

Bidding documents may also be viewed at the DOT&PF offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau and obtained for $50.00 from the Central Region Plans Room, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska before 4:30 p.m., (907) 269-0408.  Additional information is available under “Procurement” on the DOT&PF web site at (www.dot.alaska.gov).
